Helpful Tips

Due to miscommunication between myself, my helpers, and the Gadsden Times our race start time for tomorrow at the Southside Sprints for Children 5k was printed in the paper as 9 am instead of 8 am. I have decided it is better to postpone the race one hour rather than leave out anyone who comes expecting to run at 9. ARC's Lori Tippets topped the women's side to the inaugural Run the Rock 5K. ARC's Jim Tom Stimpson was the race director for the event and declared the event a success.The run was organized to raise funds for the Sand Rock Baptist Church Youth program. Overall, Matt Cole won the race with a last minute sprint to the finish that edged out Paul Froom. Complete results can be seen by clicking here.

This year's YMCA of Calhoun County/ Anniston Orthopaedics Spring 5K Run moved to downtown Anniston and grew from 52 runners to 146 runners. And it did not hurt to be on the ARC Grand Prix. Congratulations to Ann Angell, the YMCA of Calhoun County and Anniston Orthopaedics for a great event. For Results click here
