Training Runs
ARC members regularly meet on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays for training runs. The meeting times, places, and courses change periodically, however, the most commonly run routes will be posted below. If you would like more information on our training runs or would like to be added to the running group email list, please email Brooke Nelson at president[at]annistonrunners.com.
TUESDAYS
Group 1- Still meeting at McClellan to do work on the track. We’ve been meeting between 5-5:30 p.m. (I will probably continue this until after the Rocket City marathon.) We may want to meet earlier if possible because of dark.
Group 2 – Meet at YMCA at 5:30 p.m. for group run (Someone else needs to put out the water until after the marathon)
SATURDAYS 6:30 a.m. at Anniston High School when there is no local race. Multi-pace and varying routes. Bring your own water source. Confirm run with Randy Lusk at: luskfarms@aol.com SUNDAYS 3:00 p.m. at McClellan’s Cane Creek/19th Hole parking lot for long run. 10K and Half Marathon distances available. Marathon group may meet at 2:00, then meet up with regular group at 3:00. Water provided on course but it is a good idea to bring your own water source, too.
