Woodstock 5K FAQ's



When is the race?
Saturday, August 5, 2017

What time does the race start?
Woodstock starts at 7:30 am sharp; Kidstock will begin at 8:30 am.

Are walkers welcome?
Absolutely! We encourage runners and walkers of all paces to participate. 

Are stollers allowed?
Yes, strollers are allowed.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, but please use discretion when bringing pets. Please make sure to pick up after your pets. We ask that you do not bring aggressive dogs. 

Does Woodstock benefit any charity groups?
Yes! We are proud to donate to our friends at East Central Alabama and United Cerebral Palsy. Proceeds from the 2015 Woodstock 5K, totaling more than $10,000, were donated to benefit these programs. Other donations went to Anniston High School.


When does registration close?
Online registration will close on Friday, August 7 at 7:00 pm. Paper registrations will be accepted until July 27th . THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Unfortunately, no.

How do I register online?

I have received a COMP form. Can I register online?
No, comp form recipients will need to mail in their form to the Anniston Runners Club. Send the COMP form to P.O. Box 2022 Anniston, AL 36202 no later than July 27th, 2017. 

What do I receive with my registration?
All participants will receive a performance t-shirt and water bottle provided by Wells Fargo Advisors.



When is packet pickup?
Packet Pickup will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at Anniston High School located at 1301 Woodstock Avenue in Anniston, AL. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive before 6:30 pm.

Last-minute packet pickup is held on Saturday, August 5th from 6:00 am to 7:00 am. Absolutely no pickup after 7:00 am

What do I need to bring to Packet Pickup?
Yourself! When you arrive, simply look up your bib number on the print out and provide it to the registration volunteer. 

Can I pick up a packet for someone else?
If the person you are picking a packet up for is already registered, then yes. Otherwise, they must pick up their packet in person so that they can sign a participant waiver.

I have a large team. Can I pick up packets for everyone on my team?
Yes. You will need to provide the team name to in advance. Let us know who will be picking up the packets for the team. 

I ordered the wrong t-shirt size. Can I exchange it?
Possibly. Participants must visit the registration table to check availability of remaining t-shirt sizes. 


I registered as an individual. Can I be moved to an existing team?
Yes. You will need to send an email to with your full name, t-shirt size and the team you would like to be transferred to. You must include whether the team is a Corporate or Noncorporate team. Note: You will NOT receive a refund for the difference in price. NOTE: NO changes to teams can be made after Tuesday, August 2 at 7:00 PM.

What is the difference between a Corporate and Noncorporate team?
A Corporate team is made up of individuals who have their registration paid by someone else, such as an employer or group sponsor. Noncorporate teams are comprised of individuals who have each paid their own registration fee. The Noncorporate team with the most participants will win $500. The Corporate team with the most participants will receive a trophy.


What team awards are available?



Non corporate teams are defined as teams where the entry fee/registration fee of each team member is paid for by the individual team member. These teams will be eligible for the $500 cash prize!  


A corporate team is defined as a team where the entry fee/registration fee of each team member is paid for by the team's employer and/or corporate sponsor. If one of more team member's registration fee is paid for by a employer and/or sponsor, the entire team will be considered a corporate team. 

Corporate teams will NOT be eligible for the $500 cash prize. However, the corporate team with the most participants will receive team trophy. 


Dress up, get creative, and show us your team spirit! We'll choose the grooviest team to award with a super shiny trophy!  


The fastest all male team, fastest all female team, and fastest co-ed team will all be awarded with a trophy. 

What are the age group awards available?

Cash prizes and medals will be awarded to the following:

1st Place Overall M/F- $500/each + an extra $500 if you set a new course record!
2nd Place Overall M/F- $300/each
3rd Place Overall M/F- $200/each
1st Place Masters M/F (40-49)- $50/each
1st Place Grandmasters M/F (50-59)- $50/each
1st Place Great Grandmasters M/F (60-69)- $50/each
1st Place Great-Great Grandmasters M/F (70+)- $50/each

Woodstock medals will be given to the top three (3) finishers, both male and female, in the following age categories:

11-13          30-34     50-54     70-74
14-16          35-39     55-59     75+
17-19          40-44     60-64     

Kidstock medals will be given to the top three (3) finishers, both male and female, in the following age categories:

5- under

Only children younger than age fourteen (14) are eligible for Kidstock awards.



Will race photos be available for purchase?
Yes! Two local photographers will be onsite, as well as our friends from Links to purchase photos will be available afer the race, so make sure to check your email and our social media pages for instructions.
